Red Belt (3rd Gup)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT - Must complete the following:

●     5-minute Run

●     200 Jumping Jacks

●     1.5-minute Plank

●     100 Squats

●     60 Push-ups

POOMSAE - Memorize and refine the following form(s):

●     Taeguek Pal-jang (#8) and all lower forms

HAND TECHNIQUES - Know basic blocking techniques (down block, inside-middle block, high block, etc.

BOARD BREAKING - Use the following techniques to break wooden boards:

Series:

●     Advance kick

●     Advance kick 

●     Power Break on 2, 1 inch boards

SPARRING SKILLS - Be ready to show skill in the following sparring skills:

●     30 sec offense 30 defense

●     Cut kick follow up (during match)

●     Comfortable control with head shots (during match)

●     Spinning back kick against axe kick (outside of match)

●     Sparring Rounds: 3 (1 min.)
